Probes

The probes are an essential part of the DVG. These are the collectores of the data. Currently there are following different kind of probes:

• SNMP
• Binary (exec)
• Perl-Modules
• Dummy

Dummy Probes do not collect any data from the hosts. These probs are use to manipulate the data from other rrd-streams: like sums of link-usages.
